I was in Brighton at the weekend talking to a few friends about a film called ‘The Secret’. I’ve not seen it yet, but the trailer (see above) looks really interesting and puts a twist on the creative thinking process.
They break it down into 3 steps.
Step 1. Ask | Step 2. Answer | Step 3. Receive
Now that’s something we could test in our work to help make positive change and improvements in the public sector, anyone up for it?

This does raise some interesting points but I think the style will put a lot of people off. Also, the message isn’t particularly clear about what it’s trying to say, is this film about the universe, religion, or creativity?
I don’t see how this could make for a good film and I can’t really see where the ‘twist’ in the creative process is…
I’m confused by it already, or am I missing something here?

While the style of the clip is rather cheesy I take from it the underlying idea of visualising and focusing on what it is you want. Simple to say, difficult in practice.

I have to say the clip is cheesy and the language is some what America, but there is a clear message about how we all have the resources and power within in us to create change. (Yet we don’t believe it) I think the challenge is how you package something like this so it isn’t overwhelming, as that will turn people off.
