I had never done yoga before and had only heard about it through the likes of Sting and Gerri Halliwell.
This morning the thinkpublic team arrived early to the studio for our first yoga session. Yoga works with breathing, stretching and meditation, it aims to provide you with physical and mental well-being.
I found the experience remarkably enjoyable, some of the movements were really challenging but I liked the sense of balance between your physical and mental state.
The session is the first of a six week course run by Jane Dawson from www.theyogapractice.co.uk

I have incredibly tight hamstrings – yoga may be the solution.

I think It could well be Ivo, I’m keen to work on my balance and flexability so I can achieve my target of 15 goals for Ansty F.C this season.
Today was ideal for this and I’m looking forward to next week’s session already!

I’ve practised Iyengar Yoga for 8 years and it’s the perfect balance for far to much time spent in front of the computer. It helps that my wife is a teacher and my former teacher in Australia was one of the world’s best though!
But, I’ve also learnt more about creative processes, thinking processes and education through Yoga than many other things. It’s an ongoing learning experience.

Hi Andy,
What is lyengar yoga, do you still practice it?
It seems like the answer to all our problems!
