Public service professionals, design graduates and students gathered today to launch “The Real Work Experience, a thinkpublic initiative aiming to place design students within public service organisations. Today’s event provided the first steps towards designing how this could happen. Attendees included representatives from the NHS, Timebank, The Royal Society of Arts, a number of Universities, design organisations, graduates and students from all over the UK.
Continuing the conversations initiated today, we have set up TheRealWorkExperience.com to act as an open forum for students, graduates and professionals to discuss how to can connect designers with the public sector. The network also includes a video and report of the launch event.
