I was shopping in Sainsbury’s yesterday and spotted these new jugs and bags of milk.
Milk is now being sold in recyclable bags, apparently the bags contain 75% less waste than a standard 2 pint bottle. The system seems to be a trial for the time being as users are urged to log onto www.jugit.co.uk and register their feedback.
I like this a lot and hope it works, a simple and cost effective way to reduce my rubbish.

Bought Jug 2 weeks ago,on placing the third milk bag in, the front tab broke off and on closer inspection the milk spout tab is now spliting down the joint with use of a family of 4 it seems the jug will only last a month before all tabs are broken, and we will have to buy another at the cost of nearly £2.00.which means 2pints of milk will cost an extra 50p.ie allowing for 4 bags of milk before having to renew jug. good idea, bad build quality, more thought on how the tabs will survive the bending back & forth when placing milk bags in. yours, the Daemon family.

Jug tabs broke off within 2 weeks of purchess, good idea but bad product. must solve the breaking tabs, then would be much better. J. Cooper

The directions are poor. And the system faulty. We have had milk on the counter, on the floor, and filling up in the jug. We are taking it back to our supplier. Pity, because it is a good idea.

It’s a shame to hear some of this feedback and I too have had problems with the jug, you’d think it would be simple…?
So…it’s a great idea but the product isn’t good enough.
