Having received a very positive reception at Sheffield and invitations to other festivals around the world, Playmakers, produced by thinkpublic and directed by Ivo Gormley will recieve its London Premiere at NESTA this evening. The film explores the emerging area of pervasive gaming; a genre that exists at the intersection of computer games, theatre, art and technology. It follows the progress of games designes Alex Fleetwood and Holly Gramazio over a period of 6 months as they develop a new game. The film explores the social drivers for play and asks questions about the changing role of play in our social and public lives.
