On Monday the thinkpublic team lead a big think into how we can increase the respect and awareness given to carers by the professionals they regularly interact with. To begin, participants’ discussed how professionals currently perceive carers, and then looked at other successful ways in which society’s behaviour had been changed. This laid the foundation for a creative afternoon, where groups generated inspirational ideas for encouraging people to take a fresh look at the important role of carers.
The session was a joint venture between the Department of Health and the Design Council.
