At thinkpublic we have been spent the morning going through all the entries from The Real Work Experience workshops that took place across the country last Friday.
The ideas that all of the students and graduates have generated are inspiring, innovative and useful. Interestingly, most of the ideas overlap in some way so we suspect there will not be one winner, but a culmination of ideas brought together that will be supported to be taken forward.
thinkpublic will be publishing the final ideas on this site by the end of this week, and announcing the ideas that they have chosen to take forward.
Just to demonstrate the scale of the ambition, compassion and appetite that design students and graduates have for social change…. here are just some of the areas that they aim to make their mark in going forward ( taken from their brainstorming on Friday ), and hopefully with the help of The Real Work Experience they will be able to do so!
Homelessness / Drug culture / Youth violence / Charities / The prison service / Local communities / Women’s safety / Improve places of learning / Social and sustainability issues / Making business’s more social / Obesity / Recycling / Brand control / Mental health / Politics / Voting / Youth centers / Fire safety / Politeness / Disability / Science and academia / Councils and local authorities / Recession information / Retail / Churches / Transport / Identity / Sexual health and wellbeing / Addiction / International relationships / Universities.
An inspiring and important list!
