Fight for your rights

takingliberites.jpg

Last weekend I had a great time at the current exhibition at the British Library. It was great fun! ‘Taking Liberties’ takes you through the 900-year struggle for Britain’s freedoms and rights. Artifacts explain how our rights have come about and the people and struggles that have taken place in order for our rights to exist today.

I was especially impressed by the interactive element to the show, as you enter the exhibition, you are given a wrist band which is scanned at various points where you can choose to answer various questions to see where you stand on today’s issues.

At the end of the exhibition you are able to view your responses to the various questions and compare them to all the other people that are in the space at the same time. I found it really thought provoking to see what other people are thinking about these issues.

You can go to the online interactive site here.
