The new standard for patient information has worked well in pilot stages but there are big issues that will need to be addressed in order for it to be successful.
Designers working within The NHS spend more time selling the benifits of well designed patient information than they do designing.
The Experience Based Design approach is achieving excellent market penetration with clinical staff but it would also be a very useful approach for information/comms teams where knowledge of the approach is low.
The new information standard will mean that charities will have to change, audit and redesign their work process to ensure that they comply with the standard. A user centered design process can support them to achieve this.
It’s very difficult to do a presentation straight after an energising session that involves song and dance.

The presentation has been uploaded for you to view here…enjoy!
