Last Thursday I spent the afternoon with another set of fantastic students at the thinkpublic Design Clinic. The clinic is a forum we run every couple of months to bring a select group of students together who are working in the field of design, innovation, and social change. It is a chance to feedback on each other’s work, share ideas and gifts, and engage in discussions about design practice and the public sector.
The standard of work and level of commitment demonstrated by the students was exceptionally high, with work touching on; community play spaces, female identity in Lebanon, environmental illustration, the experiences of homeless children, the psychology behind social networks, European approaches to service design, and mapping people’s perceptions of space and locality.
Thank you Gwen, Faridah, Francisca, Mariann, Pardo, Richard, and Susana. Please click on the links to find out more about their work.
If you are currently a student or have graduated within the last 12 months, and would like to come and join us at thinkpublic for the next Design Clinic, please send an image of your favorite project and 100 words about who you are to workexperience@thinkpublic.com.
