Working with staff from Birmingham North and East NHS Primary Care Trust (PCT), thinkpublic developed a new method for increasing localised health care.
thinkpublic co-developed the prototype for a ‘Clinic to Go’, a portable kit containing all the information required to set up a community clinic.
The first stage of this project was the facilitation of a ‘rapid prototyping’ workshop where experiences of bringing care closer to patients’ homes were explored and ideas developed. The second stage took place in co-design workshops where thinkpublic worked with the frontline staff to develop the chosen concept of a portable ‘clinic in a box’. In early 2008, the final prototype for Clinic to Go was launched nationally across the NHS.
