social enterprise

working with social entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs and social enterprises to enable and develop their businesses

Our history as a company is grounded in social entrepreneurship. We are passionate about inspiring social entrepreneurs to tackle today’s social, economic and political challenges. We support social entrepreneurs in developing and testing their business ideas to create sustainable services that are fit for purpose. We also help them demonstrate and articulate their value to society.

we support social enterprises in three main ways:

1. social enterprise support programmes
We design and lead workshops and training to support, mentor and inspire social entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs in the public sector in the development, prototyping and user testing of their business ideas.

2. design clinics
To embed design and inspire organisations to think differently, thinkpublic offers in-house design clinics. These clinics, inspired by how Deborah founded thinkpublic, bring the designer and the design toolbox into the organisation, for a set period of time, to help tackle problems creatively to respond innovatively to current and future challenges.

3. social ventures
We develop and invest in our own team and network’s ideas, bringing people together to start new ventures.
